N2  - The main aim of this study is to introduce some of the journals on education published in the Republican era in Turkey. These journals are analyzed according to their goals, publication years, number of volumes/issues, publishers (individuals and/or institutions) and main writers. The journals on education published after the 1960s are not included since they are relatively new and easy to attain. Eighteen journals on education were examined in this study; Bilgi, Eğitim Hareketleri, Emekli Öğretmen Dergisi, Fikirler, İmece, Malim Sesi, Okul ve Öğretmen, Okul ve Ulus, Öğretmen, Öğretmen Dergisi, Pedagoji, Tedrisat Mecmuası, Uyanış, Yeni Adam, Yeni Kültür, Yeni Okul, Yeni Öğretmen and Yeni Türk Mecmuası. We hope that this study, though it remains within its stated limitations, would benefit and enlighten other researchers who are interested in the journals on education published in the Republican era in Turkey.
