It may be in two forms, congenital or acquired methemoglobinemia. It is known that many agents can cause acquired methemoglobinemia. If the blood methemoglobin level reaches 55%, it can be lethal. Prompt care is needed in this situation. Here, a 4-month-old boy with acquired methemoglobinemia due to prilocaine use is presented. Methylene blue was used in the treatment of this case. The treatment enabled a dramatic improvement and was life saving}, number={2}, publisher={T.C. Sağlık Bakanlığı Ankara Şehir Hastanesi}
