N2  - A 50-year-old woman with multiple sclerosis(MS) underwent hysterectomy. MS is characterized by chronic inflammation, demyelination, and gliosis in the central nervous system. Stress such as surgery, anesthesia, emotional distress and variable body temperature can exacerbate the disease. In this case, anesthesia was induced and maintained with propofol and remifentanil and bupivacaine was given intraoperatively and postoperatively from an epidural catheter. With this (epidural and IV general anesthesia)method, patient was discharged without complications and no new signs of disease were observed over the following days
