N2  - This study was carried out to evaluate the complaints of the 15-49 aged married women using one of the family planning methods in Talas/ Kayseri. In this study, 469 married women sampled randomly were surveyed by meeting face-to-face. Among the women in the study, 34.5 % use intra uterin device (IUD), 30.5 % use condom, 16.0 % use pills, 14.9 % draw-back, and 4.1 % use other methods. The average duration of the methods still in use was found to be 3.73 ± 3.58 years. The rate of the ones who state that they were examined before using the methods was 48.8 %; and the rate of the ones who were informed about the probable adverse effects of methods was 64.8 %. The rate of the women who have complaints about the current method they are using is 31.3 %. This rate is determined as 45.7 % in IUD users, 32.0 % in pills users, 23.8 % in condom users, 18.6 % in draw-back method users. The most complained situation is; nonregularity and increase in menstruations for IUD, nausea for pills, and partners not preferring and feeling uncomfortable for the condom. Sufficient counseling and quality follow up is effective on complaints and abandoning of methods
