The ShiromMealmed Burnout Meaasure was translated into Turkish and consequently the questionnaire was administered to a sample comprised of 211 academic and administrative staff of a public university. The internal consistency and constructcriterion validity were examined. Confirmatory factor analysis revealed the three dimensional factor sturcture consistent with the original scale including “physical fatigue”, “emotional exhaustion” and “cognitive weariness”. (χ2=1104, df=480, χ2/df=2,35; TLI=0,95; CFI=0,96; RMSEA=0,08). Internal consistency for the subscales ranged between 0,66 and 0,81.
