N2  - This article speaks about the importance role of mythological imagination during the origination and gradual development of one of the ancient genres of Uzbek folklore genre of riddle.Here the author analyzes some of riddles which come from mouth to mouth for many years, have come to the textual position, differ with their multilayer and have many comment during the period of gradual development of national literary thinking, taboo terms are described in them in compositional structure and mythological thinking. On the purpose of clasrification of a place of the cosmogonic myths connected with celestial body in the genesis of a genre of a riddle in this article are analyzed the comment of a riddle of a traditional plot created on the bases of myths making comments Sun and the Moon as the husband and the wives. By way of examples the author also shows the importance of the role of ancient cultic myths connected with fire, water and fertility in appearing of Uzbek national riddles.
