TY - JOUR T1 - Experimental Investigation of Surface Roughness of Cutting Parameters in T6 Aluminum Alloy Milling Process AU - Özsoy, Neslihan PY - 2019 DA - November Y2 - 2019 DO - 10.22399/ijcesen.590692 JF - International Journal of Computational and Experimental Science and Engineering JO - IJCESEN PB - İskender AKKURT WT - DergiPark SN - 2149-9144 SP - 105 EP - 111 VL - 5 IS - 3 LA - en AB - In this study, optimummachining conditions were determined by investigating the surface roughness ofthe 7075-T6 aluminum alloy milling, depending on the spindle speed (rpm), feedper tooth (Fz-mm/tooth) and the cooling type parameters. Taguchi experimentdesign method was used to save time and cost. Experiments were based on theTaguchi L16 orthogonal array and signal/noise (S/N) ratios were used in theevaluation of the test results. Optimum surface roughness values weredetermined with Taguchi optimization. In addition, variance analysis andregression analysis were performed. Confirmation tests were conducted to verifythe work. As a result of the confirmation tests, it was found that the surfaceroughness optimization in the milling of the 7075-T6 aluminium alloy wassuccessfully applied.
