AB  - 11 Eylül sonrası dünyadaki değişim hareketinin teorik düzlemdeki enönemli sonuçlarından biri postmodernist söylemin gerilemesidir. Bu iddianın,kanımca, biri teorik diğeri pratik iki gerekçesi vardır. Teorik gerekçesi, postmodernizmlebirlikte modernist ideolojide var olan tüm kuram, kavram ve yapılarınyapısöküme uğratılmış olması, dolayısıyla teorik zeminde, yapısöküme uğratılacakherhangi bir şeyin kalmamasıdır. Pratik gerekçe ise özellikle 90’larda dünyada– kısmen de olsa - yaşanmış olan siyasal irade boşluğunun 11 Eylül saldırısındansonra Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nin öncülüğünde Batı dünyasının temelbileşenlerinin izlemiş olduğu güvenlik politikalarıyla büyük ölçüde doldurulmuşolması ve bu yolla da dünyadaki başıboşluğun postmodernist söylemdeki karşılığıolan ‘sınırsız doğrular kümesinin’ yeni bir hakikat rejimi mantığıyla sınırlanmışolmasıdır. Postmodernist söylemin gerilemesinin hem modernitenin önemli değerlerini hem de postmodernizmin birtakım düzlemlerdeki haklı eleştirileriniiçeren ve bu fikirleri sentezleyen yeni bir teorik çerçeveyle karşılaşma olanağınıdoğurduğu iddia edilebilir. Çalışmada - bu tespit çerçevesinde – eleştirel sosyalteorinin katkısı bağlamında sosyal bilimlerin geleceği tartışılacaktır. Eleştirel teorive sosyal bilimler arasındaki ilişkinin soruşturulacağı bu tartışmada; sosyalbilimlerin toplumsal pratiklere nasıl müdahale edebileceği nominalist analiz, içkineleştiri ve refl eksif perspektif kavramları aracılığıyla ele alınacaktır.

N2  - One of the most significant theoretical consequences of the change in theworld in the post-September 11 period is the decline of the postmodernist discourse.In my opinion, this claim has two (theoretical and practical) justifications.Theoretically, with postmodernism, all the theories, concepts and structureswithin modernist ideology have been deconstructed and there is nothing left todeconstruct. Practically, to a great extent, the political vacuum experienced in the1990s in the world has been filled in with security policies pursued by the mainelements of the West under the leadership of the United States and ‘cluster of unlimitedtruths’ which corresponds to this deviousness has been confronted with anew logic of truth regime. Arguably, the decline of postmodernist discourse hascreated the opportunity to find a new framework that brings together both thesignificant values of modernity and the rightful criticisms of postmodernism. Inline with this, this study will discuss the future of the social sciences within thecontext of the contributions of the critical social theory. The relationship betweencritical theory and social sciences will be investigated and the ways of interveningin the social practices with social sciences will be discussed through theconcepts of nominalist analysis, immanent critique and refl exive perspective.
