When plasma cells that produce immunoglobulin (antibody), which are formed as a result of differentiation of B cells, turn into myeloma cells, they produce monoclonal protein (M-protein) instead of antibody. Myeloma cells are usually detected as CD45(-). In this article, we present a case of multiple myeloma carrying CD45(+) and CD45(-) cells together in a flow cytometric immunophenotyping study. CR - 1.
