The results in the study were obtained using ICP-MS instrument. As a result of the research, the amounts of Cd and Pb in the samples analyzed were found to be in the range of 00.00-0.06 μg kg-1 and 00.00-1.07 μg kg-1, respectively. The highest element content in all the examples was iron (13.14-61.04 μg kg-1), zinc (34.11-54.12 μg kg-1), copper (15.68-20.7 μg kg-1) and manganese (12.72-20.20 μg kg-1) were obtained while boron (04.82-10.33 μg kg-1), aluminium (00.00-13.12 μg kg-1) and nickel (0.88-07.74 μg kg-1) had followed the element. The lowest element content was Cobalt (0.037-0.12 μg kg-1).As a result, the heavy metal content found in the sunflower seeds grown in the Central Black Sea region was under the boundaries that do not pose a threat to human health.
