KW - Hidrosefali KW - ventriküloperitoneal şant KW - şant komplikasyonu KW - torasik migrasyon N2 - Hydrocephalus is a common neurosurgical pathology characterized by increased production of cerebrospinal fluid, causing high intracranial pressure, which results with dilatation of cerebral ventricles and thinned cerebral cortex. The most common treatment of hydrocephalus is ventricoloperitoneal shunt. Mechanic obstruction and infection are seen frequently after shunt procedures. Thoracic migration of distal shunt catheter is rare complication, but when present it must be carried out immediately. CR - Porcaro F, Procaccini E, Paglietti MG, Schiavino A, Petreschi F, Cutrera R.
