Its rate of incidence in Turkey is stated as around 6,3/100.000 (3). Hydatid cyst frequently settles in liver and lung, but it can also settle in other organs like kidney. Kidney involvement is quite rare. Usually hydatid cyst in another organ accompany the hydatid cyst in kidney. It is asymptomatic in general as it has a tendency to grow slowly. However, its diagnosis is important as it can cause loss of organ when it reaches big sizes and it is ruptured.
