Idiopathic Parkinson's Disease (PD) is the most common extrapyramidalsyndrome encountered in the aging population. The major signs of Parkinson'sdisease are tremor, rigidity, akinesia, and postural instability. The diagnosisof PD remains a Clinical judgement without any confirmatory laboratory diagnosticprocedure available or required. In this study we made transcranial corticalstimulation (TCCS) in 13 PD patients and motor evoked potential (MEP) recordedfrom soleus and anterior tibial muscle. In all patients three experimentalparadigmas were performed; rest, voluntary dorsiflexion, voluntary plantarflexion.
</trans-abstract>
