                            <p>The aim of the study is to examine the effect of teaching the question-answer relationship strategy to fourth-grade students on their reading comprehension and questioning skills. A quasi-experimental design was employed in the present study, which included a sample of 87 students from three different classes. Two of the groups were determined as the experimental group and one as the control group. The ‘Reading Comprehension Test’ prepared by the researcher was used as the pre- and post-test in the study. In addition, the “Question Form” was employed to ascertain the change in the students’ questioning skills. The data obtained from the reading comprehension test were analyzed using the SPSS 21 package program. The data obtained with the question formation form were interpreted on the basis of each question classification being treated as a theme in itself. Upon examination of the post-tests conducted following the implementation of the intervention, it was seen that the question-answer relationship strategy made a positive contribution to the development of fourth-grade students’ reading comprehension skills and questioning levels.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Araştırmanın amacı, dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerine Soru Cevap İlişkisi stratejisinin öğretiminin bu öğrencilerin okuduğunu anlama ve soru sorma becerileri üzerindeki etkisini incelemektir. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden yarı deneysel desen tercih edilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu üç farklı sınıfta öğrenim gören 87 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Öğrenci gruplarından ikisi deney ve biri de kontrol grubu olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmada ön ve son test olarak araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan ‘Okuduğunu Anlama Testi’ kullanılmıştır. Ayrıca öğrencilerin soru sorma becerilerinde meydana gelen değişimi belirlemek için “Soru Oluşturma Formu” kullanılmıştır.  Okuduğunu anlama testinden elde edilen veriler SPSS 21 paket programı yardımı ile analiz edilmiştir. Soru oluşturma formu ile elde edilen veriler ise, soru sınıflandırmalarının her biri birer tema olarak kabul edilerek yorumlanmıştır. Uygulama sonrasında yapılan son testler incelendiğinde Soru Cevap İlişkisi stratejisinin dördüncü sınıf öğrencilerinin okuduğunu anlama becerilerinin ve soru oluşturma düzeylerinin gelişimine olumlu katkı sağladığı görülmüştür.</p></abstract>
