This study aims to determine the effect of “Active Learning” of the 8th class students’ learning skills of idioms. The study group was comprised of 20 8th grade students who were studying at five different primary schools in Afyonkarahisar, and the data were collected in 2012-2013 fall semester. A humorous tale of Keloğlan, a work sheet that is prepared by the explanations of this tale’s idioms and a questionnaire was given to these students.
Bu araştırmanın amacı, “Aktif Öğrenme”nin ilköğretim 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin deyimleri öğrenme becerisi üzerindeki etkisini belirlemektir. Araştırma, 2012-2013 güz döneminde Afyonkarahisar’ın beş farklı ilköğretim okulunda 8. sınıfta öğrenim gören toplam yirmi öğrenciyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, bu öğrencilere, yirmi deyim içeren gülmeceli bir Keloğlan masalı, masalda geçen ve açıklanması istenen deyimlerle hazırlanmış bir çalışma kâğıdı ve açık uçlu sorudan oluşan bir anket formu dağıtılarak toplanmıştır.
