Literature ofthe language which is taught is the primary authentic material of the language.Although there have been approaches to use literature in teaching language, teachers have some reservations about incorporating literature in theircurricula due to scarcity of training in this area and negative perceptionsabout selecting appropriate literary texts which match the levels and interestsof the students. Also, when the research in this field is reviewed, it wasfound out that there was a scarcity of work which suggested combining the useof literature through technology. In order to fill this gap, this study aimedto present rationale behind incorporating literature into teaching a languageand how it could be used creatively through combining it with technology toreduce or to eliminate the reservations. To this end, some suggestions are madesuch as using infographics, Twitter, blogs, vlogs and dictation tools alongwith literary texts.</p>
