In this study, the aim is toraise the awareness of learners of Turkish as a foreign/second language byusing reflective thinking stages (recalling experiences, researching causes,trying to change and improve experiences) and to improve their experiences bypresenting solutions to the phonetic errors they frequently made in theirpronunciation. The research is a qualitative study, and it is based onBartlett's reflective teaching stages (mapping, informing, contesting,appraising and acting). The implementation stage lasted 8 class hours (400minutes), consisting of two hours per week, at A2 level at the TÖMER İzmirbranch of Ankara University. Following each implementation, reflections on theteaching process were obtained thanks to the diaries kept by both the learnersand the researcher who carried out the implementation and created coursereports, course records were formed and peer evaluations were obtained and,when needed, rearrangements were made. At the end of the implementation phase, thedata obtained through the interviews with teachers and learners about theprocess, the findings of the new teaching process on the usefulness of work andthe level of awareness for pronunciation were shared with the instructors andlearners. It was concluded that the implementation led to a positivedevelopment in learners and that they acquired communicative skills by findingthe opportunity to do speaking practice, through the reflective practicesperformed.
Bu çalışmada, yabancı/ikinci dil olarak Türkçeöğrenenlerin öğrenim süreçlerinde sıkça yaptıkları sesletim hataları ileilgili, yansıtıcı düşünme aşamaları (deneyimleri hatırlama, nedenleriaraştırma, deneyimleri değiştirmeye ve geliştirmeye çalışma) kullanılarakfarkındalık oluşturmak ve sesletim problemlerine çözüm yolları sunarakdeneyimlerini geliştirmek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, nitel bir çalışmadır veBartlett’in yansıtıcı öğretim aşamaları (inceleme, bilgilendirme, bilgilerikarşılaştırma, değerlendirme ve eyleme geçirme) temelinde şekillenmiştir.Uygulama aşaması, Ankara Üniversitesi TÖMER İzmir Şubesinde, A2 düzeyindeöğrenim gören öğrenicilere, haftada ikişer saat olmak üzere toplam 8 saattir.Her uygulama ardından hem öğreniciler hem de uygulamayı yapan araştırmacıtarafından doldurulan günlükler, oluşturulan ders raporları ve ders kayıtlarıile akran (meslektaş) değerlendirmeleri sayesinde öğretim sürecinin yansımalarıneticesinde varsa yeniden düzenlemelere gidilmiştir. Uygulamanın bitiminde öğretmenve öğrenicilerden sürece yönelik görüşme yoluyla veriler elde edilmiş, yeniöğretim sürecinin işe yararlığı ve sesletime yönelik farkındalık düzeyleriüzerine elde edilen bulgular –içerik çözümlemesi yoluyla- karşılaştırmalıolarak, öğretmen ve öğrenici düzleminde paylaşılmıştır. Gerçekleştirilenyansıtıcı uygulamalar sayesinde öğrenicilerin konuşma pratiği yapma fırsatıbularak olumlu bir gelişim gösterdiği ve iletişimsel beceriler edindiklerisonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
