Diş hekimlerinin %22,9’u pozitif hastaya tedavi uyguladığını, %22,9’u SARS-Cov2 enfeksiyonu geçirdiğini, %53,1’i muayene öncesi hastalardan detaylı anamnez aldığını belirtmiştir. Diş hekimlerinin %27.4’ü SARS-Cov2’nin aerosol olarak canlı kaldığı süreyi bilmekte, %24’ü dört saatte bir maskesini yenilemekte, %42,3’ü anti-retraksiyon sistemli ekipman kullanmaktadır. SARS-Cov2 geçirmeyen diş hekimlerinin (%57,6-%17,4), SARS-Cov2 geçiren diş hekimlerine (%44,4-%12,8) göre daha yüksek oranda “alkol bazlı el antiseptiği” ve “klorheksidin glukonat” etken maddesini içeren el dezenfektanı kullandıkları saptanmıştır (χ2=17,521; 𝑝<,05).
Sonuç: Çalışmamızdaki diş hekimlerinin büyük çoğunluğu, pandemi sürecinde güvenli tedavi hizmeti verebilmek için rutin uygulamaların yanında virüs saçılımını minimize eden metod ve prosedürlerle yollarına devam etmiştir.

Aim: It was aimed to investigate the perspectives of dentists about the precautions and practices for disinfection, antisepsis and sterilization in dental clinics during the COVID-19 pandemic and their awareness level about SARS-CoV2.
Material and Methods: 25000 dentists affiliated to the Turkish Dental Association (TDB) formed the universe of the study; The data of the study, which was defined as cross-sectional, were provided through a 20-question questionnaire administered electronically to 175 volunteer dentists working in the public and private clinics between June 2021 and October 2021. The data were converted into frequencies and percentages by performing Chi-Square analysis with SPSS.26 program.
Results: The average age of the dentists participating in the study was 42.35, 40.6% were female (n=71) and 59.4% were male (n=104) and 26.9% of the participants were in the public sector, 73.1% were in private clinics. 22.9% of the dentists stated that they applied treatment to positive patients, 22.9% of them had SARS-Cov2 infection, 53.1% of them stated that they took detailed anamnesis from the patients before the examination. 27.4% of dentists know how long SARS-Cov2 remains alive as aerosol, 24% renew their masks every four hours, 42.3% use equipment with an anti-retraction system. Dentists without SARS-Cov2 (57.6%-17.4%) had a higher rate of “alcohol-based hand sanitizer” and “chlorhexidine gluconate” than dentists who had SARS-Cov2 (44.4%-12.8%). It was determined that they used hand disinfectant containing the active ingredient (χ2=17,521; 𝑝<,05).
Conclusion: The majority of dentists in our study continued on their way with methods and procedures that minimize virus shedding as well as routine practices in order to provide safe treatment service during the pandemic process.
