COVID-19 mRNA Aşısından Sonra Yeni Başlangıçlı Ankilozan Spondilit: Bir Vaka Sunumu

Abstract

Virüs antijenleri ile insan vücudundaki antijenik yapılar arasındaki moleküler benzerlikler nedeniyle, romatizmal hastalıklar da dahil olmak üzere otoimmün/otoinflamatuar hastalıklar COVID-19 aşılarından sonra ortaya çıkabilir ve/veya alevlenebilir. Bu olgu sunumunda, Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 aşısından sonra şikayetleri başlayan 32 yaşında genç bir erkek hastada Ankilozan Spondilit tanı süreci ve tedavisinin başlatılması hakkında bir sunum yapılması amaçlanmıştır.

New-onset Ankylosing Spondylitis after COVID-19 mRNA Vaccine: A Case Report

Abstract

Autoimmune/autoinflammatory diseases, including rheumatic diseases, may occur and/or flare up after COVID-19 vaccines, due to the molecular similarities between viral antigens and antigenic structures in the human body. In this case, the aim is to present the diagnostic process of Ankylosing Spondylitis and the initiation of treatment of a 32-year-old young male patient whose complaints started after the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.
