Letter to the Editor: Captopril Induced Acute Pancreatitis: a Case Report

Abstract

We read with great interest the article by Kaplan et al, entitled “Captopril-induced acute pancreatitis: a case report” recently published in the Ahi Evran Medical Journal. We want to thank the authors due to emphasizing a rare side effect of captopril, which can cause a variety of well-known side effects such as cough, angioedema, and renal failure. Nevertheless, we would like to address some points to contribute to the discussion.

Editöre Mektup: Kaptoprile Bağlı Gelişen Akut Pankreatit: Olgu Sunumu

Abstract

Kaplan ve arkadaşları tarafından hazırlanan “Kaptoprile bağlı gelişen akut pankreatit: Olgu sunumu” başlıklı olgu sunumunu büyük bir ilgi ile okuduk.1 Yazarlara sık kullanılan antihipertansif ajanlardan biri olan ve daha çok öksürük, anjiyoödem ve böbrek yetmezliği yan etkileri bilinen kaptoprilin akut pankreatit gibi nadir görülen yan etkisini vurgulayan bu yazıdan dolayı teşekkür ederiz. Bununla birlikte olgunun tartışmasına katkı sunabilecek birkaç noktaya değinmek isteriz.
