This study aims to examine the impact of health tourism policies on economic growth and public finance in Turkey between 2015 and 2021. The study assesses the sector's contribution to the Turkish economy by analyzing the relationship between the health tourism sector and macroeconomic indicators. Data from reliable sources such as the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) and the World Bank were utilized, and econometric methods like the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) were applied. Unit root tests and regression analyses indicate that health tourism revenues contribute positively and significantly to economic growth, while inflation has a negative effect on this sector. Additionally, a positive relationship between the number of health tourists and economic growth was identified, and the beneficial impact of trade openness on health tourism revenues was emphasized. The findings suggest that Türkiye’s regulations and economic policies must be strategically designed to ensure the sustainable growth of the health tourism sector.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye'de 2015-2021 yılları arasında sağlık turizmi politikalarının ekonomik büyüme ve kamu maliyesi üzerindeki etkilerini incelemektir. Çalışma, sağlık turizmi sektörünün makroekonomik göstergelerle olan ilişkisini analiz ederek, sektörün Türkiye ekonomisine katkısını değerlendirmeyi hedeflemektedir. Çalışmada, Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu ve Dünya Bankası gibi kaynaklardan elde edilen veriler kullanılmış ve En Küçük Kareler Yöntemi (OLS) uygulanmıştır. Birim kök testleri ve regresyon analizleri, sağlık turizmi gelirlerinin ekonomik büyümeye pozitif ve anlamlı bir katkı sağladığını, ancak enflasyonun bu sektör üzerinde olumsuz bir etkisi olduğunu göstermektedir. Ayrıca sağlık turisti sayısı ile ekonomik büyüme arasında pozitif bir ilişki bulunmuş ve ticari açıklığın sağlık turizmi gelirleri üzerindeki olumlu etkisi vurgulanmıştır. Çalışma sonuçları, Türkiye’de sağlık turizmi sektörünün sürdürülebilir büyümesi için regülasyonların ve ekonomik politikaların stratejik bir şekilde tasarlanması gerektiğini ortaya koymaktadır.
