Giriş ve Amaç: COVID-19 salgın sürecinde, Türkiye’ de vaka sayısının hızlı artış periyoduna girdiği bu günlerde, sunulan sağlık hizmetlerindeki ihtiyaçların ve özellikle hayati önem taşıyan hasta ihtiyaçlarının kanıta dayalı öngörüsü büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu çalışmada, karşılaştırmalı olarak iki farklı model yardımıyla yoğun bakım yatak ve solunum cihazı sayılarının öngörülmesi amaçlandı. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Veriler, Gompertz ve Zaman serileri modelleri ile incelendi. Bulgular: Çalışmada kullanılan modellerin öngörü başarıları benzer bulundu. Ancak modellemede kullanılan veri sayısının az olması nedeniyle (13 gün) sadece 1 haftalık öngörüler verildi. Gompertz modeline göre 6 Nisan’ da öngörülen toplam yoğun bakım yatak sayısı 1474 iken zaman serisi modelinde 1485 bulundu. Aynı tarihte ihtiyaç duyulacak solunum cihazı sayısı Gompertz modeline göre 1000, zaman serisi modeline göre 1004 olarak hesaplandı.Sonuç: Veri sayısı (gün sayısı) 30’ un üzerine çıktığı zaman kullanılan matematiksel modeller, eğilimi daha iyi yakalayacağı için ileriye dönük uzun süreli tahminlerdeki başarıları artacaktır.
Introduction and Aim: Because the number of coronavirus cases has increased day by day in Turkey, , evidence-based prediction of the needs in the provision of health services and particularly critical/seriously patient needs is of paramount importance. In this study, it was aimed to predict the number of intensive care beds and breathing apparatus with the help of two different models.Materials and Methods: Data were analyzed with Gompertz and Time series models.Results: The forecasting of the models used in the study were found similar. Since a few data are used in model development (13 days), only 1 week forecasts were given. While the total number of intensive care beds according to the Gompertz model on April 6 was 1474, this number was forecast as 1485 in the time series model. The number of ventilators that will be needed on the same date was 1000 according to the Gompertz model and 1004 according to the time series model.Conclusion: When the number of data (days) exceeds 30, the mathematical models used will increase the success in the future long-term forecasts as they will better catch the trend.
