The mediation role of information sharing and competitive advantage in the effect of supply chain strategies on supply chain performance

Öz

In this study, the effect of supply chain strategies of firms operating in Turkey that produce meat and meat products on information sharing and competitive advantage, and the effect of information sharing and competitive advantage on supply chain performance were investigated. In addition, whether information sharing and competitive advantage play a mediating role in the effect of supply chain strategies on supply chain performance has also been examined within the scope of the study. In order to test the models and hypotheses developed in line with the purpose of the study, a questionnaire was applied to meat and meat products producers operating in Turkey. Following the application, 408 valid surveys were obtained. The data obtained as a result of the survey application were analyzed through SPSS and AMOS programs. As a result of the structural equation analysis, it was seen that lean and agile supply chain strategies affect the competitive advantage of the firms by sharing information with customers and suppliers. Sharing information with customers affected only resource performance, while sharing information with suppliers affected both production and flexibility performance. Competitive advantage, on the other hand, had an impact on resource, production and flexibility performance. In the analysis results to determine the intermediary effects, it was seen that all other mediation roles, except the mediation role of information sharing with customers and suppliers, on the resource performance of the agile supply chain strategy.

Tedarik zinciri stratejilerinin tedarik zinciri performansı üzerindeki etkisinde bilgi paylaşımı ve rekabet avantajının aracı rolü

Öz

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de faaliyette bulunan et ve et ürünleri üreten işletmelerin tedarik zinciri stratejilerinin bilgi paylaşımı ve rekabet avantajı üzerindeki etkisi ile bilgi paylaşımı ve rekabet avantajının tedarik zinciri performansı üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır. Ayrıca tedarik zinciri stratejilerinin tedarik zinciri performansı üzerindeki etkisinde bilgi paylaşımı ve rekabet avantajının aracı rolü olup olmadığı da çalışma kapsamında incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı doğrultusunda geliştirilen model ve hipotezlerin test edilmesi için Türkiye’de faaliyet gösteren et ve et ürünleri üreticilerine anket uygulaması yapılmıştır. Uygulama sonrasında 408 geçerli anket elde edilmiştir. Anket uygulaması sonucunda elde edilen veriler SPSS ve AMOS programları aracılığıyla analiz edilmiştir. Yapısal eşitlik analizi sonucunda, yalın ve çevik tedarik zinciri stratejilerinin işletmenin müşteriler ve tedarikçilerle bilgi paylaşımı ile rekabet avantajını etkilediği görülmüştür. Müşterilerle bilgi paylaşımı sadece kaynak performansını etkilerken, tedarikçilerle bilgi paylaşımı hem üretim hem de esneklik performansını etkilemiştir. Rekabet avantajı ise kaynak, üretim ve esneklik performansı üzerinde etkili olmuştur. Aracı etkilerin belirlenmesine yönelik analiz sonuçlarında ise çevik tedarik zinciri stratejisinin kaynak performansı üzerinde müşteriler ve tedarikçilerle bilgi paylaşımının aracı rolü hariç diğer tüm aracı rollerin olduğu görülmüştür.

Çalışma, Atatürk Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü Üretim ve Pazarlama Programında doktora tezi olarak sunulmuştur ve bu tezden üretilen çalışma ARÜ İİBF Dergisine gönderilmiştir. Çalışma ile ilgili etik beyanı, dergi editör kurulu tarafınca yazarlardan ve ilgili kurumdan talep edilmiştir. Atatürk Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Enstitüsü tarafından dergimize bir yazı göndermiş olup aşağıdaki ifadelere yer vermiştir. Ayrıca söz konusu belge, DergiPark sistemine yüklenmiştir. “İlgili çalışma.
