Bu araştırma Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu Başkanlarının görev sürelerineyönelik bir değerlendirme yapmak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Spor, günümüzdetoplumsal ve kültürel etkilerinden dolayı devletlerin dikkatini çeken birkavram haline gelmiştir. Sporun dikkat çekici bu özelliği ona kurumsal anlamdabir nitelik kazandırmıştır. Ülkemizde futbolun kurumsal temsilcisi olan TürkiyeFutbol Federasyonu uzun bir geçmişi ile günümüze kadar gelmiş ve Türk sporteşkilatının önemli kurumlarından biri olmuştur. Bu kurum kurulduğu ilk gündenbugüne kadar birçok kişi tarafından yönetilmiştir. Fakat başkanların birçoğunungörev süresi kısa olmuştur. Araştırmada, federasyon başkanlarının görevsürelerine ilişkin olarak zamanın sosyal ve siyasi olayları ve bu olaylarınbaşkanların görev sürelerine yapmış olduğu olumlu veya olumsuz etkileraraştırmanın konusunu oluşturmuştur. Elde edilen bulgulardan hareketle Türkspor tarihinin, belgelere göre değil belleklere dayalı olarak yazıldığı görüşühakim olmuştur. Bu durum araştırmacıları gazetelerden daha çok yararlanmayazorlamıştır. Federasyon başkanlarının görevlerini bırakma nedenlerine yönelikolarak yapmış oldukları açıklamalara bakıldığında görünürde Türk futbolunuyöneten birileri varken aslında perde arkasında sistemi kilitleyen kişi veyakişilerin de olduğu düşüncesi hakim olmuştur. Bu durum Türk futbolunungelişmesi noktasında bir engel olarak görülmüştür.
This study has been prepared with the aim of having an evaluationtowards the duty duration of Turkish Football Association heads. Today, sporthas become an interesting phenomenon for governments due to its scientific,social and cultural effects. This aspect of sport has earned a corporatequality. Turkish Football Association that is the institutional representativeof football has come up to the day with its long history and become one of themost important institutions of Turkish Sport Organization. This organizationhas been administered by a number of heads since its foundation. However,majority of heads have had a short duty term. This study examines the socialand political events of this era concerning the duty term of the heads of theTurkish Football Association, as well as the positive and negative effects ofthese events upon the duty term of heads. The study also considers newspaperreports and gives place to the written and verbal statements of headsespecially concerning their resignation. A literature review has been conductedconcerning the social and political events of this era. Thus, the acquiredfindings are associated with the duty term of heads and these information arepresented as inferences of the study. Considering the acquired findings; it isobserved that the Turkish sport history is written according to memories ratherthan documents, which forces researchers into using newspapers more.Considering the explanations of heads regarding their resignation; even thoughthe Turkish football is administered by someone, it is thought that there areactually persons that lock the system behind the scenes, which unfortunatelyprevents the Turkish football to develop.
