                                                                                                <abstract><p>Fasiyalasimetri yüzün iki tarafı arasındaki boyut veya ilişki uyumsuzluğudur. Normalinsan yüzünde hafif derecede asimetri mevcuttur ve estetik ve fonksiyonaçısından problem oluşturmaz. Belirgin asimetriler ise hem estetik hem defonksiyon açısından problem yaratabilir. Genelde fasiyal asimetri vakalarıbirçok faktörün birleşiminden oluşur. Doğru teşhis için dentofasiyal yapılarınuygun değerlendirilmesi gerekir. Fasiyal asimetri vakaları klinik değerlendirmeve çeşitli görüntüleme yöntemleri ile teşhis edilir. Ortodontik veya cerrahitedavi planı oluşturulurken teşhis aşamasında dikkatli olunmalı, hastanıntedavi sonu yüz yapısı, okluzyonu ve orta hattı detaylıca planlanmalıdır. Hastanınyaşına, asimetri nedenine, şekline ve şiddetine göre çeşitli tedaviyaklaşımları uygulanabilir.Buderlemenin amacı fasiyal asimetriyi tanımlamak, etiyolojisi, prevalansı,teşhisi ve tedavi yöntemleri hakkında bilgi vermektir.Anahtar kelimeler: Fasiyal asimetri, ortodonti, ortognatik cerrahiFACIAL ASYMMETRY</p></abstract>
