We experience photography in various places and for variouspurposes. We see news, advertising, documentaries and art photographs innewspapers, magazines, books, billboards, internet and television. Each photographhas a theme and a message whatever its place and purpose. The quality of the intended receivers to whom the message is conveyeddetermines the level of clarity of the photograph. From time to time thephotographer wants to intended receivers to perceive the message at first sight, while at other times he wants them to stop and think about it,A major question emerges concerning how a photographer can attract theattention of the intended receivers who have been bombarded with visions and aretired and bored of seeing them?In order attract the attention of the intended receivers a photographerawaken their eagerness by surprising them, by causing them to think or by vision tobe embedded in their memories.Success ultimately relies on the level of esthetic and technical skills of thephotographer: his mind, his feelings, and experience. All of these work together todevelop and deliver the main effect in the formation of the photograph. Apart fromhis technical knowledge and experience, his knowledge in composition plays a veryimportant role in organizing the vision. He can achieve plainness and clarity in hisphotographs, utilizing the visual elements that make up the language of thephotography and that are guided by the principles of design. The visual elements ofphotography include light, line, form, texture, color, tone values, movement andperspective. The principles of design include rhythm, conformity, contrast, balance, superiority and completeness.A photographer must also be a good &quot;receiver&quot;. His central job asphotographer is to see and focus on selected things in new ways. The myriad ofdetails in his environment that seldom draw the attention of ordinary people carryvalue for him. He can gain success only by his experience of seeing a lot of things,by doing a lot of research, and by taking lots of pictures for immediate feedback.Key words: Photography, Spectator (the intended receivers), Perception,Visual elements, Principles of design</p></trans-abstract>
