Abstract

Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a B lymphotropic human herpes virus and have a widespread distribution in the world. It causes infectious mononucleosis (EM) which is known as the kissing disease because of transmission through saliva. EBV is a rare cause of acute hepatitis, cholestatic hepatitis in the course of the EBV infection is much more rare. In this paper, we report a case with cholestatic hepatitis and portal lymphadenopathy due to EBV infection.

Abstract

Epstein-Barr virüsü (EBV) dünyada yaygın bir dağılım gösteren B lenfotropik insan herpes virüsüdür. Tükrük yoluyla bulaștığı için öpücük hastalığı olarak da bilinen enfeksiyöz mononükleoz (EM) tablosuna neden olur. EBV akut hepatitin nadir bir nedeni olup kolestatik hepatit ise EBV enfeksiyonu seyrinde çok daha nadir görülmektedir. Biz bu yazıda EBV enfeksiyonuna bağlı kolestatik hepatit ve portal lenfadenopati gelișen bir olguyu sunduk.
