Angiographic Evaluation and Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty of Cimino - Brescia Arteriovenosis Hemodialisis Fistulas

Abstract

Cimino-Brescia type, surgically created, arteriovenous fistulas are cornmonly used for hemodialysis. In fourteen patients angiography was performed to evaluate the reason for difficulty in cannulation of the arterialized veins or to reveal the reason of decreased blood flow in the fistula, In six cases angiography showed no abnormalities, but demonstrated venous stenoses in four cases and occlusion of the radial artery in three cases. Only in one other case angiographic images were inadequate for evaluation. Percutaneous Transluminal Angioplasty was performed successfully in a case of venous stenosis and restored the sufficient perfusion for hemodialysis.

Cimino - Brescia Arteriovenoz Hemodializ Fistüllerinin Anjiyografik Değerlendirilmesi ve Perkutan Translüminal Anjiyoplastisi

Abstract

Kronik böbrek yetmezligi olan hastalarda hemodializin girisim yolu olarak en sik, cerrahi olarak olusturulan Cimino-Brescia arteriovendz dializ fistilleri kullaniir. Bu tip fisttiller, arteriyelize venlerin kaniile edilememesi veya yeterli kan akiminin saglanamamas! nedeniyle ondért olguda anjiografik olarak incelendi. Bir olgu yetersiz anjiografik goruntiler nedeniyle degerlendirme digi tutuldu, Alta olguda anjiografi normal olarak degerlendirilirken dort olguda vendoz stenoz, ig olguda radial arter oklüzyonu saptandı. Venoz stenoz saptanan bir olguya Perkutan Transluminal Anjioplasti uygulandı ve fistülde hemodiyaliz icin yeterli kan akımı sağlandı
