Kronik Böbrek Yetmezliği Vakalarında Tiroid Fonksiyonları

Abstract

Kronik renal yetmezlikli hastalarda anormal tiroid fonksiyonla- rina rastlanihr, Hemodializ tedavisi bu fonksiyonlarin normale’ bir ge- tirilmesinde belirgin bir fayda saZlamamaktadir. Hemodialize alter- natif tedavi sekli olarak devamh tasinabilir periton dializi son yularda artan bir sikhkla kullanilmaktadir. Bu tedavinin hemodialize oranla tiroid fonksiyonlarini normallestirmede daha tsttin oldugu belirtilmektedir. Bu nedenle, biz hemodializ, periton dializi alan ve konservatif tedavi altindaki kronik bébrek yetmezlikli hastalardaki tiroid fonksiyonlarim incelemeyi ve buldugumuz sonucglar1 birbirle- riyle ve normal kisilerdeki hormon degerleriyle kiyaslamayi uygun bulduk. Sonuglarimiz her iki dializ yénteminin kronik bébrek hasta- hgmda gézlenen tiroid fonksiyonlarm dtizeltmedigini ortaya cikar- mistir.

KRONIK BOBREK YETMEZLIGI VAKALARINDA TIROID FONKSIYONLARI

Abstract

Anormal thyroid functions are seen in patients with chronic re- failure. In patients undergoing maintenance haemodialysis, it is reported that, this sort of therapy does not have a beneficial affect on sis, thyroid functions. Continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis is being increasingly employed as an alternative to haemodialysis. There are reports claiming that peritoneal dialysis is more efficient in imp- roving thyroid status than haemodialysis. For this reason, we desig- ned to define the thyroid functions in patients receiving haemodialy- peritoneal dialysis, and patients with chronic renal failure who are not undergoing dialysis and to compare the results in patient and control groups. Our results revealed that, both methods of dialysis cannot improve the thyroid status in patients with chronic renal fa- ilure.
