Abstract

Congenitally corrected transposition of the great arteries is a rare congenital anomaly, that is usually diagnosed in childhood or early adulthood. There are case reports of newly diagnosed patients at their 60’s in the literature. Our patient is a 72 year old male, complaining of worsening shortness of breath and heart failure symptoms for a year. He had the recent diagnosis of corrected transposition at his admission.

Abstract

Doğuştan düzeltilmiş büyük arterlerin transpozisyonu, nadir görülen bir konjenital anomali olup ortalama çocukluk ve gençlik çağında tanı almaktadır. Literatürde 60'lı yaşlarda tesadüfen saptanmış vakalar mevcuttur. Burada sunacağımız vaka 72 yaşında olup son 1 yıldır belirginleşen nefes darlığı ve kalp yetmezliği bulguları nedeniyle değerlendirilen ve yeni tanı alan bir erkek hastadır.
