Abstract
O.anthropi formerly known as Achromobacter spp. or CDC group Vd, can be isolated from various environmental sources. It’s an aerobic, gram negative, nonfermentative microorganism, which can rarely cause infection in humans. It grows on Mac Conkey agar plate. It’s peritrichious flagellated and motile. Recently it has been increasingly seen as a nosocomial pathogen in humans. Mostly O.anthropi is reported as a cause of catheter related bloodstream infection, but it can cause infection in most organ systems. Here, O.anthropi bacteremia is presented in a patient who’s receiving chemotherapy for relapsed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and previously had haematopoetic stem cell transplantation (HSCT)
