Intracavernous Self - Injection With Papaverine For The Treatment Of Impotence
Abstract
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of intracavernous self - injection of papaverine for the treatment of impotence, we carried out aprospective study including 36 patients. Before selecting patients for self - injection therapy, the etiological classification of patients was determined. Then, we injected papaverin intracavernousally to the patients, we injected papaverine intracavernousally to the patients, who didn't have organic etiology. 36 patients who had complete erection after papaverine injection, were taken for self - injection therapy. The was no serious complication in the study group. The results of this indicate that, self - injection therapy with papaverine, for the treatment of nonvasculogenic erectile dysfunction is practical, safe and efficient.
