Maling Melanomun Sitolojik Özellikeri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada altı yıllık bir süre içinde gözlenen malign melanom vakalarına ait sitolojik preparatlar değerlendirilmiştir. Yirmi üç hastadanmtoplam 31 adet yayma preparat elde edilmiştir, 22 aspirasyon ve 9 imprint materyali bulunmaktadır. Vakaların onbeşi erkek, sekizi kadındır. Sitolojik materyaller lenf bezi, yumuşak doku, göz, karaciğer ve özofagustaki lezyonlardan hazırlanmıştır. Aspirasyon yapılan vakaların üçünde doku kesitleri de incelenebilmiş, ikisinde ise çıkarılmış malign melanom öyküsü alınmıştır. İki vakanın yaymalarında hiç pigment saptanmamıştır. Bulgularımıza dayanarak malign melanomda, sitolojik kriterler tesbit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Amelanotik vakalarda intranükleer inklüzyon mevcudiyeti önemli bir kriterdir, İnce iğne aspirasyonu yoluyla sitoolojik incelemenin malign melanomlu hastaların takibinde ve primeri bilinmeyen lezyonlarda tanı koymada faydalı bir yöntem olduğu düşünülmektedir.

Cytological Features of Malignant Melanoma

Abstract

In this study, cytological preparations belonging to malignant melanoma cases observed in a period of six years were evaluated. A total of 31 smear preparations were obtained from twenty-three patients, 22 aspiration and 9 imprint materials. Fifteen of the cases were male and eight were female. Cytological materials were prepared from lesions in lymph nodes, soft tissue, eye, liver and esophagus. Tissue sections could also be examined in three of the aspirated cases, and a history of resected malignant melanoma was obtained in two. No pigment was detected in the smears of two cases. Based on our findings, an attempt was made to determine the cytological criteria in malignant melanoma. In amelanotic cases, the presence of intranuclear inclusions is an important criterion. It is thought that cytological examination by fine needle aspiration is a useful method in the follow-up of malignant melanoma patients and in the diagnosis of lesions with unknown primary.
