Smoking Habits Among Secondary School Students
Abstract
In 1986, to investigate smoking habits among students, we conducted a survey by self-guestionnaire of 2403 secondary school students and 1727 high school students in Tokat-Turkey. In this study we found that, © 5.6 of secondary school students and & 24.5 of high school students were smoker, The proportion of smokers was more among boys than girls. Smoking rates were increasing with age and class levels. Smoking experience was made until the age 15 years by,Sb 83.3 of ever smokers. 76 88.3 of all smoker students were above the age 15 years.
