Swan-Ganz catheter in diagnosing perforation of interventricular septum complicating myocardial infarction
Abstract
Bu yayında, akut miyokard infaktüsünün bir komplikasyonu olarak oluşan iki interventriküler septum rüptürü sunulmaktadır. Bu iki vakada miyokard infaktüsü ile üfürümün ilk farkedilmesi arasındaki zaman 5 gündür. Bu iki hastaya, miyokard infaktüsü sonrası interventriküler septum rüptürünün teşhisi koymak amacıyle Swan-Ganz kateteri yerleştirildi. Basınçlar ve oksijen satürasyonları, kardiak kateterizasyondan ölçüldü. Başarılı tedavi erken teşhis ve cerrahi tamire bağlıdır.

AKUT MİYOKARD İNFARKTÜSÜNÜN KOMPLİKASYONU OLARAK GELİŞEN İNTERVENTRİKÜLER SEPTUM RÜPTÜRÜNÜN SWAN-GANZ KATETERİ İLE TEŞHİSİ
Abstract
This report represents the İwWo cas€s of ruptured interventricular septum occurring asa complication of myocardial infarction. In these two cases, the estimated time between the myocardial infarction and the first appreciation of the heart murmur ranged five days. In these patients, Swan-Ganz catheters were inserted in diagnosing post-myocardial infarction ventricular septal rupture. The pressures and oxygen saturations were measured at cardiac catheterisation. Sucessful management depends upon an early diagnosis and surgical repair.
