Ethioptahogenesis of Fever in Malignant Haematological Diseases

Abstract

Between 1967 and 1977, 233 patients with various malignant haematological were admitted to the Department of Medicine Ankara Medical School for diagnostic work up and treatment. The cause of fever seen in these patients at the hospital were studied. It was due to malignant processes in 29,3 % and infections in 65,2 ©. In infcetions fever the offending agents were bacterial in 91,4 %, fungal in 1,3 % and a combnation of bacterial and fungal in 7,3 %.
