Serum Laktik Dehidrogenaz izoenzim 1 (LDH-1)'in Germinal Testis Tümörlerinin Tanı ve İzlenmesindeki Rolü

Abstract

Bu galismada, primer testis tiimoérlii 29 olguda, orkiektomi 6ncesi ye sonrasi, kemoterapi ve radyoterapi sonras1 serum AFP, B-hCG ve LDH-1 izoenzimi duzeyleri incelenerek, 6zellikle LDH-1 izoenzimi uzerinde duruldu. Nonseminomatéz timdorlerin tanisinda, LDH-1 izoenziminin AFP ve BhCG ile birlikte yiksek degerlerinin énemli rol oynadigi gésterildi. Seminomatéz timérlerde ise, LDH-1 izoenziminin % 84,6 oraninda tanida degerli sonug verebilecek nitelikte oldugu saptandi. Ayrica, LDH-1 izoenziminin seminomatéz timorlerde tiimoriin evresi ile paralel olarak ylksek serum duzeylerine ulasabilecegi gésterildi.

THE ROLE OF SERUM LACTIC DEHYDROGENASE ISOENZYME 1 (LDH-1) IN THE DIAGNOSIS AND MONITORING OF GERMINAL TESTICULAR TUMORS

Abstract

In our study, we investigated pre-orchiectomy, post-orchiectomy, post-chemotherapy, post-radiotherapy serum AFP, B-hCG, and LDH-1 isoenzyme levels, in 29 cases with primary testis tumors, and we focused on LDH-1 isoenzyme, in particular. We showed that high levels of LDH-1 isoenzyme, along with AFP and B-hCG, play signinficant roles in the diagnosis of non-seminomatous tumors. And we pointed out the fact that LDH-1 isoenzyme is capable of yielding a correct outcome, with a 84,6 % possibility, in seminomatous tumors. We also observed that there is a correlation between tumor stages and serum LDH-1 isoenzyme levels.
