The Role Of Hormones İn Breast Cancer

Year 1990, Volume: 43 Issue: 2, 327 - 342, 30.06.1990

Abstract

The role of endocrine factors in breast cancer development is not clear. In this study, we examined the comparative levels of E2, Progesterone, PRL, T3, T4, TSH, hGH and bèta-HCG as a tumor marker, in breast cancer patients and in a healthy control group. Higher serum PRL levels were discovered in postmenopausal patients when compa red to the control group (p< 0.05). Likewise, in premenopausal patients, Progesterone levels at follicular phase and T4 and hGH levels were significantly different than the control group 0.05). HoweVer, E2 levels at pre and postmenopausal patients, P levels in postmenopausal patients, T3, TSH and Beta-HCG levels were similar to those of the control group. Furthermore, the PHL and Beta-HCG levels failed to show a correlation with the disease activity

Meme Kanserinde Hormonların Rolü

Year 1990, Volume: 43 Issue: 2, 327 - 342, 30.06.1990
