Abstract

In 1986, to investigate smoking habits among students, we conducted a survey by self-guestionnaire of 2403 secondary school students and 1727 high school students in Tokat-Turkey. In this study we found that, © 5.6 of secondary school students and & 24.5 of high school students were smoker, The proportion of smokers was more among boys than girls. Smoking rates were increasing with age and class levels. Smoking experience was made until the age 15 years by,Sb 83.3 of ever smokers. 76 88.3 of all smoker students were above the age 15 years.

Orta Dereceli Okul Öğrencilerinde Sigara İçme Alışkanlığı

Abstract

Orta dereceli okul öğrencilerinde sigara içme alışkanlığının boyutları ve bazı özelliklerini incelemek amacıyla 1986 yılında Tokat'da, tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 4129 öğrencide bir anket çalışması yapıldı. Çalışmada, 2402 ortaokul ve dengi okul öğrencisinden & 5.6sının, 1727 lise ve dengi okul öğrencisinden © 245 inin sigara içtiği,yaş ve sınıf düzeyi ile paralel olarak sigara içme oranlarının da yükseldiği, erkek öğrencilerde sigara içme oranının kız öğrencilerden 6.3 kat fazla olduğu görülmüştür. Sigara içme dneeyimi geçiren öğrencilerin “6 83.6 sı bu denemelerini 14 yaşından önce yapmakta, sigara içen öğrencilerin $e 88.3 ü 15 ve üstü yaş gruplarında bulunmaktadır.
