Writing Rules

Significant and useful advances of the current state of knowledge are an essential factor and it is important that papers are presented in a manner that will be appreciated by mathematicians. Papers not previously published elsewhere will be accepted and emphasis will be placed upon originality of concepts and execution. Once a paper is accepted for publication in AJM the author is assumed to have transferred the copyright to Serials Publications.

All papers are refereed through a double blind process. Articles for consideration are to be communicated to the managing editor through e-mail: azms@azjm.org Manuscripts should be written in English.

It is preferred that manuscripts be prepared using TeX or one of its variants–LaTeX, AMS- TeX, or AMS-LaTeX. For submissions, attached LaTeX file excluding authors names and postal addresses are preferred. On a separate sheet, authors should provide (i) Title of the paper and (ii) Authors names and postal addresses. The length of the paper should not exceed 20 typed pages otherwise the paper will be returned to the author for reduction. (Note: in the exceptional case the length of the paper may be enlarged by editorial board’s decision). Authors should make sure that the manuscript is in its final form and that all necessary corrections to the submitted file(s) have been made. Each paper should contain an abstract of no more than 150 words followed by the key words. To facilitate key words searching and indexing, all manuscripts shall contain AMS 2010 subject classification information and key words. References to the published literature should be cited in the text by numbers in square brackets. Full references should appear in numerical order of appearance.

Journal references should be arranged as given below:
[1] V. Kokilashvili, S. Samko. Singular Integrals in Weighted Lebesgue Spaces with variable exponent. Georgian Math. J., 10(1): 145-156, 2003.

Book references should be given as follows:

[2] I.I. Danilyuk. Nonregular boundary value problems on a plane. M.: Nauka, 1975, Russian.

The Journal is published two issues per year with each issue consisting of 130-150 pages approximately. In order to achieve speedy publication of research articles, we request all our referees to report within 4 month.

(Usually a decision will be communicated to the author within 4 months of submission, and the editorial board is committed to rendering a decision within 6 months in all cases.) Contributions to this journal are published free of charge. Five reprints are available at nominal cost (around US $15 per page for authors from abroad or 5 manat per page for authors in Azerbaijan). Additional sets of reprints may be ordered at the time of proof correction.

Subscription inquiries and subscriptions orders should be addressed to the Editorial Office: Az1141, B.Vahabzade 9, Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics NAS of Azerbaijan, Baku, Azerbai jan.
