Altyapı ve Kazı Çalışmalarının Tarihi Yapılara Etkisi: Şeyh Murad Efendi Mescidi, Adile Sultan Türbesi ve İskender Paşa Camii Örneği

Abstract

Çağdaş kentleşme sorunları ve yeni yapılanma baskıları tarihi yapıları etkileyen önemli başlıklardır. Yeni yolların açılması, mevcut yolların genişletilmesi, çevre düzenlemeleri, elektrik, su, kanalizasyon ve doğalgaz gibi alt yapı inşaatları kentin büyüyen ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak için gerçekleşirken, tarihi yapılar bu inşaat faaliyetlerinden yapısal olarak etkilenmektedir. Araştırmanın amacı tarihi yapıların çevresinde yapılan kazıların yapılara olan etkisinin literatür çalışmaları ve alan çalışması üzerinden araştırılmasıdır. Bu çalışmada İstanbul kentinde bulunan üç kültürel miras yapısının restorasyonu inşaat mühendisliği çerçevesinden incelenerek tarihi yapıların çevrelerinde gerçekleşen kazılardan yapısal olarak nasıl etkilendiği araştırılmıştır. Araştırma için seçilen üç proje; Şeyh Murad Efendi Mescidi, Adile Sultan Türbesi ve İskender Paşa Camii restorasyonlarıdır. Araştırmacı seçilen üç projede danışman inşaat mühendisi olarak görev almıştır. Bu araştırmada ilk olarak tarihi yapıların çevresinde yapılan kazıların yapılara olan etkisi ve alınacak önlemler ile ilgili literatür taraması yapılmıştır. İkinci olarak araştırma için seçilen üç projeye ait restorasyon süreçleri açıklanarak yapılarda meydana gelen hasarlar ve bu hasarlar nedeniyle yapılara uygulanan güçlendirme yöntemleri açıklanmıştır. Son aşamada tespit edilen sorunlara getirilen güçlendirme önerilerinin tarihi yapılar için oluşturabileceği riskler tartışılmıştır. Yapılan çalışmanın sonucunda, tarihi yapıların çevresinde yapılan alt yapı çalışmalarının tarihi yapıların stabil durumunu bozarak yapılarda çatlamalara ve kısmi yıkılmalara sebep olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Özellikle tarihi eserlerin üzerine oturduğu zeminde oluşan değişimlerin müdahalesi zor yapısal sorunlara yol açtığı yapılan bu çalışmada görülebilmektedir. Bu çalışma ile gelecekte tarihi yapıların çevresinde yapılacak alt yapı ve üst yapı projelerindeki duyarlılığın arttırılması hedeflenmiştir.

The Effect of Infrastructure Projects and Excavations on Historical Buildings: The Cases of Seyh Murad Efendi Masjid, Adile Sultan Tomb and Iskender Pasha Mosque

Abstract

Contemporary urbanization problems and reconstruction pressures are important topics that affect historical buildings. While opening new roads, widening existing roads, landscaping, infrastructure constructions such as electricity, water, sewage and natural gas are carried out to meet the growing needs of the city, historical buildings are structurally affected by these construction activities. The aim of the research is to investigate the effects of excavations around historical buildings to the structural systems of the buildings through literature studies and a case study. In this study, the restorations of three cultural heritage buildings in the city of Istanbul were examined within the framework of civil engineering and the effects of the excavations on the structural systems of these three buildings were under-inspection. Three projects were selected for the research; Seyh Murad Efendi Masjid, Adile Sultan Tomb and Iskender Pasha Mosque. One of the researchers worked as a consultant civil engineer in three selected projects. During the course of the research, firstly, the literature review about the effects of the excavations around historical buildings on the buildings and the precautions to be taken has been analysed. Secondly, by explaining the restoration processes of the three projects selected for the research, the damages in the buildings and the strengthening methods applied to the buildings due to these damages were explained. The risks posed by the retrofitting proposals to the problems identified at the last stage for historical buildings were discussed. As a result of the study, it was determined that the infrastructure works around the historical buildings disrupted the stable state of the historical buildings and caused cracks and partial collapse in the buildings. It can be seen in this study that the changes that occur especially below the foundations of the historical artifacts cause structural problems that are difficult to intervene. With this study, it is aimed to increase the awareness in infrastructure and superstructure projects to be built around historical buildings in the future.
