                                                                                                <abstract><p>The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relevancy of LED lamp parameters to ordinary customers as well as to find out which parameters are more or less significant for the purchasers. It was found that the majority of customers have some difficulties understanding the luminous parameters of LED lamps but are aware of the efficiency and advantages of these artificial light sources. In order to propose the selection guide for LED lamps, the MCDM (Multiple-Criteria Decision-Making) techniques were applied.  The proposed algorithm consists of eight steps and covers all LED lamp parameters declared by the manufacturer.</p></abstract>
