Shear Failure of Historic Masonry Walls
Abstract
Shear behaviour of masonry has been studied for modern masonry and few experimental results are available for historic un-reinforced masonry walls (HURM) under seismic loads. A series of triplet tests, racking and cyclic shear wall tests have been experimentally conducted by the authors to investigate shear failure mechanisms and strength of HURM walls.
