                            <p>Aim: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of video-assisted hygiene education given to school-age students. Materials and Method: The study was a one-group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design. The population of the study was school-age students in a province in the East Black Sea region. The study sample consisted of 60 students. Students were given video-assisted hygiene education as an intervention. The data were collected face-to-face through &#039;Information Form and Hygiene Behavior Identification Scale&#039; in the form of pretest-posttest. Analyses were performed in SPSS 22.00 package program. Descriptive tests, ANOVA and Sphericity Assumed test were used to evaluate the data. Results: The total scores of the students&#039; hygiene behaviors scale were 102.76 ± 12.33 in the pre-test and 107.63 ± 14.81 in the post-test and there was a significant difference between the scores (F=8.733; p=0.004). It was determined that the sub-dimension scores of the scale for determining hygiene behaviors of the students &#039;Food hygiene and hygiene at school&#039; were 51.10 ± 7.99 in the pre-test and 55.03 ± 10.03 in the post-test and there was a significant difference between the scores (F=10.068; p=0.002).Conclusion: Video-assisted hygiene education increased students&#039; hygiene behaviors with a moderate effect. Video-assisted trainings can be used effectively to improve hygiene behaviors.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Amaç: Bu çalışmada amaç, okul çağındaki öğrencilere verilen video destekli hijyen eğitiminin etkinliğinin değerlendirilmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma, tek gruplu ön test son test yarı deneysel desendedir. Araştırmanın evreni Doğu Karadeniz’de bir ildeki okul çağındaki öğrencilerdir. Çalışma örneklemi 60 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Öğrencilere müdahale olarak video destekli hijyen eğitimi verilmiştir. Veriler ‘Bilgi Formu ve Hijyen Davranışları Belirleme Ölçeği’ aracılığı ile öntest sontest şeklinde yüz yüze toplanmıştır. Analizler SPSS 22.00 paket programında yapılmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanıtıcı testler, ANOVA ve Sphericity Assumed testi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Öğrencilerin hijyen davranışlarını belirleme ölçeği toplam puanlarının ön testte 102.76 ± 12.33, son testte 107.63 ± 14.81 olduğu ve puanlar arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunduğu belirlenmiştir (F=8.733; p=0.004). Öğrencilerin hijyen davranışlarını belirleme ölçeği ‘Gıda hijyeni ve okulda hijyen’ alt boyut puanlarının ön testte 51.10 ± 7.99, son testte 55.03 ± 10.03 olduğu ve puanlar arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu belirlenmiştir (F=10.068; p=0.002).Sonuç: Video destekli hijyen eğitimi öğrencilerin hijyen davranışlarını orta düzey bir etki oluşturarak artırmıştır. Video destekli eğitimler hijyen davranışlarını geliştirmek için etkin olarak kullanılabilir.</p></abstract>
