<p>Obstructions which develop in upper airways causes persistent changes in pulmonary function test (PFT) as depressed inspiratory and expiratory curves at flow-volume chart. Extrathoracic or intrathoracic airway inspiratory obstruction might impact inspiratory flows. Localization of lesions in inspiratory and expiratory area cause of limitations. Looking at the volume curve we might evaluate if lesions are thoracic or extrathorasic. Fixed obstruction of the airway diameter does not vary during the breathing cycle. A 66-year-old male patient due to shortness of breath PFT during pereop evaluation was presented. PFT was caused of a giant goiter from tracheal compression. In this case, tracheal obstruction due to intrathoracic goiter caused fixed obstruction pattern in PFT and fully recover after the surgery</p></trans-abstract>
