Clean energy technologies are renewable, less environmentally disruptive ways to power the global community. It is a critical component for sustainable development all over the world. Clean energy technology not only improves our quality of life by reducing air, soil and water pollution, but also reduces energy dependence by creating renewable resources in local communities. The need for clean energy technology has never been more important. The way we currently generate and consume energy is unsustainable, and while technology is not the only component of a cleaner energy future, there is no reliable path to net zero emissions without significantly and rapidly increasing clean energy technologies across all energy sector. It is important for clean energy researchers to maintain an understanding of the evolving global policy and market environments as they work to develop and advance technologies. Therefore advance researches would help to provide a cleaner and more sustainable energy environment.

Here I would like to introduce Clean Energy Technologies Journal (CETJ), a new peer-reviewed biannually journal, to all readers as an important tool to ensure clean energy development. With this new journal, we are starting a new journey towards the scientific fields of engineering and technology to reach an energy in a sustainable and clean way. Clean Energy Technologies Journal aims to present information, innovative ideas, research and developments in the fields of clean and sustainable energy and to provide outstanding academic resources for scientists, academics, engineers and industrial professionals. The journal welcome contributions in the form of high-quality original manuscripts, review articles, and letter articles. We invite researchers and practitioners interested in clean energy products and processes to take advantage of this new journal. The scope includes but is not limited to the following aspects:

Smart Grid and Energy Management
Waste-to-Energy Technologies
Energy Logistics, Policies and Strategies
Renewable Energy
Economy, Social Impact and Sustainability,
Hydrogen and Alternative Fuel Technologies
Energy Storage Technologies
Energy Modeling, Simulation and Optimization
I know it will take time for CETJ to really make its mark on the clean energy field, but achievement comes to those who repeat the small efforts every day and persevere through adversity. Once this journal was barely an idea, and it soon became a reality. As the Editor-in-Chief, I would like to thank Prof. Dr. Tamer YILMAZ, YTU rector, who was extremely enthusiastic about the publishing of Clean Energy Technologies Journal. I would also like to acknowledge support of the Editorial Office and Editorial Board. But of course, today's and tomorrow's writers and editors have the most important roles to ensure the growth and development of this journal, because without you there would be no this journal.
