From an Incidental Finding to an Aggressive Diagnosis: Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma Presentation with Asymptomatic Splenic Lesions
Abstract
Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma is the most common subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in adults. The clinical presentation and prognosis of the disease are influenced by the extranodal site involved. Primary splenic involvement is quite rare. Furthermore, there are no optimal methods for diagnosis and treatment. In this case report, we describe the process of lymphoma diagnosis in an asymptomatic patient with incidentally detected splenic lesions.
