Öz

Klasik sanat bir toplumun kültürel zenginliğinin
önemli parçalarındandır. Klasik eserler bir anlamda dünya üzerindeki köklü
geçmişin, varoluşun belgesidir. Buna karşın çağdaş dünya sanatının ifade dilini
de benimsemek ve modern üretimler yaratmak, bunları desteklemek uygar dünyada
yerini almak adına büyük bir anlam taşır. Klasik olan ile modern olanı birbiri
ile rekabet eden iki farklı dil olarak görmek doğru bir yaklaşım olmamakla
birlikte, gelişimleri açsından da son derece büyük bir olumsuzluk teşkil eder.

Klasik sanat ile modernin aynı çatı altında bir
araya gelmesi, günümüz sanatının bir gerekliliği olarak görülmelidir. Bu duruma
örnek teşkil edecek çalışmalardan birisi Louvre Müzesi bünyesinde yer alan
Bronz Eserler Galerisine, Cy Twombly’e davet yoluyla yaptırılan tavan resmidir.
Eser, dünyanın saygın müzeleri arasında yer alan Louvre’un modern ve klasik
sanata yaklaşımını gösteren iyi bir örnektir.

Bu çalışma, ülkemizde de benzer uygulamaların
yapılabilmesi adına, Twombly’in eserinin nasıl ortaya çıktığını ve klasik
eserlerle uyumunu irdeleyecektir.

CY TWOMBLY AND LOUVRE SAMPLE IN THE CONTEXT OF CLASSICAL AND MODERN

Öz

Classical art is an important part of the cultural
richness of a society. Classical works are, in a sense, the document of
existence, the deep-rooted past of the world. However Adopt the expression
language of contemporary world art and to create and support modern productions
it has a great meaning to take its place in the civilized world. It is not
right to see the classical and the modern as two different languages that
compete with each other and It also constitutes a great disadvantage in terms
of its development.

The combination of classical art and modernity
under the same roof should be seen as a necessity of contemporary art. One of
the exemplary works to be done in this case is the ceiling painting made by
invitation to Cy Twombly in Bronze Works Gallery, which is located in Louvre
Museum. The work is a good example of the Louvre's modern and classical
sanctuary approach, which is among the world's most respected museums. This
study will explore how Twombly's work has emerged and adapted to classical
works in order to enable similar applications in our country.
