Current Veterinary Science

Current Veterinary Science (Curr Vet Sci) is an international, scientific, open-access, continuously published in accordance with the principles of independent, objective, and double-blind peer review. The journal is the official publication of Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Current Veterinary Science was published two issues per year until the December 2025 issue. Starting in 2026, it will transition to a continuous publication model, with accepted articles published immediately rather than waiting for the publication period.. The publication language of the journal is English (American). It is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal for the publication of original research articles (full-length), short communications, case reports, letters to the editor, and reviews in English on all aspects of veterinary and animal sciences. CVS is registered in the Turkiye Citation Index (Turkiye Atıf Dizini).

NOTE: 
Transition to Continuous Publication Model: Starting from 2026, Current Veterinary Science has transitioned from a biannual schedule (June and December) to a Continuous Publication model. Articles will now be published online immediately after acceptance and production, without waiting for a complete issue. This change aims to ensure rapid dissemination of research and immediate citation availability for our authors.

For Authors:

Before submitting a manuscript,

The journal’s guidelines should be carefully reviewed, and the manuscript prepared in accordance with these rules.
When submitting to journals, authors are required to provide their ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) numbers.
If applicable, authors must upload the “Ethics Committee Approval Document” under the mandatory forms section during submission. For studies requiring ethics committee approval, information regarding the approval (name of the committee, date, and approval number) must be included in the Methods section and also on the article’s title page. In case reports, it is mandatory to state in the manuscript that an informed consent form was signed by the participant(s).

Our journal adopts an open access policy, and no fees are charged at any stage of manuscript submission, evaluation, or publication. For all manuscript types submitted to our journal, the plagiarism rate must not exceed 20%.
