İlk Yardım ve Temel Yaşam Desteği Uygulamalarına Güncel Bakış

Abstract

İlk yardım uygulamalarının doğru, etkili, sistematik ve hızlı şekilde yapılmasının önemi sağlık profesyonelleri tarafından sürekli vurgulanmaktadır. Toplumda ilk yardım bilgi ve becerilerinin artırılmasına yönelik yasal düzenlemelere rağmen, ilk yardım uygulamaları konusunda bilgi, beceri ve farkındalığın yetersiz olduğu görülmektedir. İlk yardım gerektiren olaylarda yapılan yanlışlıklar, yetersizlikler ve hatta kazazedenin durumunu daha da kötüleştiren uygulamaların varlığına gerek medya gerekse güncel olaylarda şahit olunmaktadır. Gelişen teknoloji ve değişen bilimsel veri sonuçlarıyla birlikte ilk yardım uygulama ve yöntemlerinde değişiklikler olmakta, bu değişiklikler ilgili mevzuatta yer alarak, eğiticilerin ve uygulayıcıların bilgisine sunulmaktadır. Teknoloji ile doğru bilgiye ulaşmanın yolu kolaylaşmış olsa da diğer taraftan yanlış veri kaynaklarının kullanılması sonucu toplum tarafından uygulama hatalarının artmasıyla da yüz yüze kalınmaktadır. Bu bağlamda var olan ilk yardım bilgileri ve değişiklikler konusunda toplumu eğitmek, bilinçlendirmek ve eğitimlerin devamlılığını sürdürmek konunun temelini oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmada; toplumda sıklıkla karşılaşılan, yaşamı tehdit eden durumlarda temel yaşam desteği ve ilk yardım uygulamalarına güncel bilgilerle sistematik bir bakış amaçlanmıştır.

A Current Look at First Aid and Basic Life Support Practices

Abstract

The importance of conducting first aid practices correctly, effectively, systematically and quickly is constantly emphasized by health professionals. Despite the legal regulations aimed at increasing first aid knowledge and skills in the community, it seems that knowledge, skills and awareness of first aid practices are insufficient. Malpractice, inadequacies and even practices that worsen the casualty's condition in incidents requiring first aid are witnessed both in the media and in current events. With the developing technology and changing scientific data results, there are changes in first aid practices and methods, these changes are included in the relevant legislation and presented to the information of trainers and practitioners. Although the way to get the right information has become easier with technology, on the other hand, as a result of the use of incorrect data sources, application errors by society are also faced with an increase. In this context, educating the society about the existing first aid information and changes, raising awareness and maintaining the continuity of trainings are the basis of the subject. In this study; a systematic look at the basic life support and first aid practices in life-threatening situations that are often encountered in society with up-to-date information is aimed.
